The micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (mSMEs) in India have seen a vast development in the last five decades, and have registered tremendous growth across industry categories. Honouring this progress, Corporation Bank, during its long journey of 102 years, has taken a unique step to institute
“CorpEXCEL 2008″ – National mSME Excellence Awards for recognizing the pivotal role of mSMEs in driving National Growth

1. Eligibility - All Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Mid- Corporate in India are eligible to participate. It is open to all and not just CorpBank customers.
● Micro Enterprise: An undertaking in which investment in plant and machinery does not exceed Rs. 25 lakh [in the case of enterprises engaged in providing or rendering od services, Rs. 10 lakh]
● Small Enterprise: An undertaking in which investment in plant and machinery does not exceed Rs. 5 crore [in the case of enterprises engaged in providing or rendering od services, Rs. 2 crore]
● Medium Enterprise: An undertaking in which investment in plant and machinery does not exceed Rs. 10 crore [in the case of enterprises engaged in providing or rendering of services, Rs. 5 crore]
● Mid-Corporate: An enterprise having an annual turnover of Rs. 100 crore and above.
2. Category : Awards will be given to select in the following categories:
I] SMEs a] Food & Agro-based, b] Textiles & Apparels, c] Machine Tools & Engg. d] Chemicals & Petro Chemicals, e] IT & ITeS Sector, f] Auto Components, g] Drugs & Pharmaceuticals h] Plastics and Packaging, i] Gems & Jewellery, and j] Others [Other include transport, hospitality services, healthcare, professional & self employed, green technology etc.]
II] Micro Enterprises [All Categories]
III] Mid-Corporate [All Categories].
3. Entry Forms : a] Those who are desirous of competing for the Award are required to fill-in certain data and forward the same. The entry form is available at all branches of Corporation Bank or can be downloaded from this website or from www.corpbank.in or http://www.jkshim.ac.in/

Response dates
a] The entry forms are available from 18th April and the last date for sending the entry is 7th June 2008.

Process
a] Response management of the inaitial entries will be done by Marketing Partners – End To End Marketing Solutions, Bangalore. The entries will be independently evaluated by the Knowledge Partners – Justice K.S.Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte, Mangalore. The entire process will be audited by the audit firm – M/s Haribhakti Associates, Mumbai
b] The shortlisted Entrepreneurs [will be informed] are required to submit certain additional data and documents to the Knowledge Partners.
c] The final shortlisted units will be visited by Knowledge Partners.
d] The final selection for the Award will be done by a panel of Jury consisting of following eminent personalities

Award Ceremony The Corp Excel – National mSME Award will be presented to the outstanding entrepreneurs at a specially organised Award ceremony which will be organised in association with print and electronic media partners.
